Teaser / Current Project / In Development

In March of 2019, I began work on my latest project.  What follows below is the beginning to the story.  If you've seen The Last Jedi, then 90% of this sequence should already be familiar to you:

One foolish writer's fan fiction from a galaxy far, far away...

I was introduced to George Lucas' sci-fi masterpiece in the summer of 1977 at the ripe young age of two.  Suffice to say, I grew up in a galaxy far, far away and return to visit often.  Sometimes I bring interesting stories back with me.

Over the years, these stories have taken many forms: played out with action figures, imagined while running around in the woods, and the traditional pen to paper format.  Very rarely have I shared these stories with family and friends.  Never before have they been made public.

Feel free to explore and enjoy what I am willing to share.  However, dear guest and reader, please keep in mind that I consider myself to be a "storyteller" instead of a "writer."  I care more about ebb & flow, character development and themes than grammar, punctuation and proper formatting.  If you are a stickler for such things, you! halves my, sympathy's....

Sparks and embers rise up from the bottom of the screen as the camera lowers unto an image of the JEDI TRAINING ACADEMY.  The building is on fire, having just been destroyed by a rebellious student: BEN SOLO.  R2-D2 (ARTOO) sits a short distance away, helpless to do anything but watch the temple burn.  LUKE SKYWALKER approaches Artoo from behind and kneels down next to the droid in utter disbelief.  Luke places his robotic right hand on Artoo's domed head.

The expression on Luke's face is a combination of shock and sorrow.  He lowers his head as emotions of shame and failure begin to poison his mind.  Luke remains kneeling in silence for a few moments and steadies his breathing.  He again looks up at the burning temple, a steely determination in his eyes.  Luke grits his teeth and stands.

LUKE
C'mon Artoo.

Artoo beeps, asking a question.

LUKE (cont'd)
We're going after him.
